MADAGASCAR
A Wild & Soulful Escape to Madagascar
A 12-day journey through wild landscapes, ancient forests, and island serenity — with yoga, wildlife, and just 6 guests.
When: 19-30 July 2026
After spending about 9 months sailing around Madagascar, I completely fell in love with this wild, soulful island — and now, I’m inviting you to come and experience it with me.
We’ll walk beneath towering baobabs in Morondava, hike through the lush rainforests of Andasibe, and watch lemurs leap through the trees — found only in Madagascar and nowhere else on Earth. Then we slow it all down on the island of Nosy Komba, where we’ll do yoga, eat nourishing food, swim in clear turquoise waters, and simply be. Madagascar is like nowhere else I’ve ever been — raw, untamed, spiritual, full of life. It’s a place that touches you deeply. I can’t wait to return, and I’d love for you to join me on this one-of-a-kind journey.
I’m keeping this experience small and special — limited to just 6 guests — to make sure it stays personal, intentional, and unforgettable.

From tropical island hideaways to lush jungle lodges, each place we stay is part of the journey.
Nosy Komba – Island Calm Meets Barefoot Luxury
Our time on the island of Nosy Komba is all about slowing down. We'll stay at a small, eco-conscious lodge tucked into the forested hillside — think handcrafted bungalows, the sound of waves below, and views that stretch endlessly across the Indian Ocean. Each room is simple yet beautiful, with mosquito-netted beds, fans, and verandas that invite you to rest in nature’s rhythm. Expect fresh seafood, candlelit dinners, and warm island hospitality. The kind of place where you’ll wake to the sound of lemurs and fall asleep under the stars.
Andasibe – Lush Forests & Lemur Magic
In the highland rainforest of Andasibe, we’ll stay at a cozy lodge surrounded by greenery and birdsong. The lodge is set near the national park, so lemur sightings are common, even from your terrace! Rooms are comfortable and rustic-chic, each with ensuite bathrooms, hot showers, and large windows that open to the forest. After a day of exploring the jungle, return to a warm meal, a fire in the lounge, and quiet reflection among the trees.
Antananarivo – A Soft Landing in the Capital
Before we venture out and again before we return home, we’ll stay at a charming guesthouse in Madagascar’s capital. With only a handful of rooms, this boutique accommodation offers a peaceful space to settle in after your flight. Enjoy homecooked meals, a lovely garden, and warm Malagasy hospitality. It’s the perfect place to begin and end our journey.
Each place we stay is small, intimate, and rooted in nature — no large resorts, no hotel chains. Just meaningful spaces chosen for their beauty, calm, and connection to the wild world around us.

Fresh, flavorful, and made with love — every meal is part of the journey.
Madagascar’s cuisine is a vibrant mix of African, French, and island influences — and throughout our journey, you’ll be treated to meals that are simple, nourishing, and deeply connected to the land and sea.
Island Fresh on Nosy Komba
On the island, expect fresh seafood caught just hours before, tropical fruits bursting with flavor, and hand-prepared dishes infused with coconut, lime, and local spices. Breakfasts are light and beautiful: think fresh mango, bananas, warm baguette, homemade jams, Malagasy coffee or herbal teas. Lunch and dinner might include grilled fish, rice with zebu curry (or a veggie version), leafy greens, or coconut-infused lentils — always served with love and a view of the sea.
Earthy, Comforting Flavors in the Highlands
In Andasibe and other inland regions, meals are heartier — often centered around rice, vegetables, and locally grown ingredients. You might try Malagasy specialties like ravitoto (cassava leaves cooked with spices), vegetarian stews, roasted root vegetables, and hand-rolled crepes with local honey. Everything is made from scratch — wholesome, homey, and deeply satisfying after a walk in the forest.
A Touch of France in Tana
In Antananarivo, enjoy a French-Malagasy fusion: crusty baguettes, creamy sauces, seasonal salads, flaky pastries, and slow-cooked meats or vegetables. Many guesthouses here take great pride in their home-cooked meals — perfect for a gentle landing or a reflective last night in the city.
Dietary needs? No problem. Whether you're vegetarian, gluten-free, or simply prefer lighter meals, there’s always something fresh and delicious waiting for you. Just let us know your preferences and we’ll make sure you're well taken care of.

A Land Like No Other
Madagascar is not just an island — it’s a world apart. Separated from mainland Africa for over 160 million years, this enchanting land is home to wildlife and landscapes found nowhere else on Earth. Nearly 90% of its flora and fauna is endemic, meaning you won’t see it anywhere else — from its famous lemurs to towering baobab trees and jewel-toned chameleons.
Interesting Facts

It’s home to over 100 species of lemurs, each with their own unique calls and behaviors.
The Baobab trees, often called "upside-down trees," can live for over 1,000 years.
The island has rainforests, dry forests, coral reefs, and deserts — all in one country.
The local Malagasy culture blends African, Asian, and French influences — reflected in the food, music, and language.
