HIGHLIGHTS
Yoga amidst Namibia’s majestic landscape - Step into the wide-open landscapes of Namibia, where each day blends adventure, stillness, and soul-nourishing yoga. Together we’ll journey across deserts, coastlines, and wildlife reserves, pausing to breathe, move, and connect with the natural world in ways that only Namibia allows.
Sossusvlei Adventure – Walk barefoot across the sands of the world’s oldest desert. Towering red dunes, endless skies, and the stillness of Deadvlei create a backdrop unlike anywhere else. For the adventurous, climbing Big Daddy offers a breathtaking perspective. For all, the desert’s grounding energy invites you to slow down and feel the timeless rhythm of the Earth.
Skeleton Coast Expedition: A place of mystery and wild beauty, where rolling dunes collapse into the crashing Atlantic waves. Here you can choose your adventure: drive across dune fields in a 4x4, try sand-boarding or fat-wheel biking, kayak alongside playful seals, or join a marine safari to spot dolphins. The Skeleton Coast is raw, exhilarating, and unforgettable.
Spitzkoppe: Known as Namibia’s “Matterhorn,” these granite peaks rise dramatically from the desert floor. Explore ancient Bushman rock engravings and witness a sunset that paints the boulders gold. In this sacred space, we’ll unroll our mats and practice yoga under the open sky - a moment of stillness and reflection amidst millennia of history.
Wildlife Thrills in Etosha National Park: One of Africa’s great wildlife sanctuaries, Etosha offers encounters with elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes, cheetahs, and more than 300 bird species. Alana Moyes brings more than just yoga to this retreat; she brings presence, authenticity, and deep care for how we hold ourselves - both on and off the mat. A certified somatic therapist, she weaves together nervous-system regulation, fascia release, breathwork, and mindful movement to support healing and wholeness.
Her approach is grounded in reclaiming the connection between body, mind, and environment. Whether you’re stretching at sunrise in the dunes, restoring under a desert sky, or moving with intention by the coastline, Alana’s practice helps you slow down, root in, and open up. She uses tools that go beyond asana: meditation, somatic awareness, and rituals of embodiment.
Alana’s journey hasn’t always been smooth: having experienced burnout in her own life, she deeply understands the need for balance, for listening inward, and for letting rest be part of the practice.
You’ll find in her classes a warm, grounded presence - an invitation into more than yoga - into being seen, breathing deeply, aligning not just with your posture, but with your truth.

While most of our early mornings will be spent on exciting adventures—like game drives and cultural experiences—afternoon yoga sessions will provide the perfect opportunity to unwind and rejuvenate. Stretching after a day of driving through Namibia's vast wilderness is not only beneficial for your body, but it will help release any tension and bring clarity to your mind. Yoga will be a soothing ritual to ground you, helping you feel refreshed and recharged as you transition from one incredible experience to the next.
The practice of yoga in these remote, stunning environments offers more than physical benefits—it creates a mindful, wellness-oriented way of experiencing the beauty of Namibia. The peace of the desert, the energy of the wildlife, and the rhythm of the land will enhance your practice, allowing you to feel centered and connected to the land and your inner self.
Our yoga sessions will offer a harmonious blend of yin, slow flows, vinyasa, and hatha-inspired practices, complemented by breathing techniques and guided meditations, designed to nurture both body and mind.
I supply yoga mats, blocks and straps on all of my yoga holidays in Namibia, but please feel free to bring your own mat.

Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe is one of World’s 7 Natural Wonders and an obvious must visit and must see destination. “Thank you for another wonderful retreat. I love the experiences that come each day. A colleague asked why I like going to Africa, and for me its easy. I love that I can lie in bed at night and hear lions, hippos, hyena, jackals etc, that is why I love being out in the bush. I love your Namibia, and hope to return again for another visit. The tented lodge was amazing, and I would love to go back, especially when the elephants were passing through, what a life experience that would be. Victoria Falls was both soul cleansing and heart opening for me. I was so drawn into the beauty and power it brought me to tears! Thanks again and keep me on your mailing list. I would love to see more and experience more of Namibia. Blessings and many thanks” - Jill, Australia
