DESERT SOULSCAPE

8-Day Desert SoulScape Retreat

March & November 2026

A Retreat Woven from Movement, Energy & Touch

Join Marcel, Robyn, and Ray for a deeply personal retreat in their home country — a journey guided by yoga, channelling, and bodywork. Held in the vast, soul-stirring landscapes of the Kalahari and Namib Deserts, this experience invites you to soften, tune in, and return to yourself.

Desert Soulscape is a unique collaboration between Namaste Yoga Safaris founder and Yoga Practitioner - Marcel Vosloo, Channeler and Tarot Reader - Robyn Steyn, and Bodywork Practitioner - Ray Sasman.

Bound by friendship and a shared love for their homeland, each has spent years travelling Namibia’s wild beauty through their personal and professional paths. This retreat brings their work into harmony — combining mindful movement, deep insight, and nurturing touch for a journey that’s as much inward as it is outward.

It’s not just a retreat — it’s a soul adventure across two iconic deserts.

Itinerary & Lodging

  • On arrival at Windhoek’s Hosea Kutako International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our team. We recommend booking a morning flight that arrives early, so we can begin our journey together around 10am. If you arrive the day before, we will collect you from your accommodation in Windhoek.

From the city, we travel about three hours into the open landscapes of the Kalahari, arriving at our lodge around lunchtime — leaving the buzz behind and stepping into stillness.

After arrival and check-in, there’s time to unwind, explore the landscape, and ease into the stillness around you.

In the late afternoon, we’ll gather for a slow and grounding Yin yoga session — a quiet practice to land in your body and soothe your nervous system after travel. Expect long, supported holds, gentle breathwork, and space to arrive fully in the moment.

As the sun dips below the dunes, we’ll share our first dinner together — a nourishing, wholesome meal. Let the pace shift, your breath soften, and your senses open to the rhythm of the desert. A place of quiet magic — red sand dunes, golden grass, and endless skies. The Kalahari is not a barren desert, but a living one, home to ancient wisdom, wildlife, and deep stillness. It invites you to slow down, listen closely, and reconnect with something timeless.

This three-day immersion in the Kalahari offers a gentle yet profound rhythm of movement, rest, and deep inner connection. Each day unfolds with space for stillness, healing, and soft adventure, held within the wide, golden landscapes of the desert.

    Day 1 – Arrival & Grounding

Settle into the soft magic of the Kalahari. After arrival and check-in, there’s time to unwind, explore the landscape, and ease into the stillness around you. Afternoon grounding yoga session beneath the desert sky.

    Day 2 – Connection & Channeling

The morning is designated to rest and relaxation. Over the course of the retreat, guests receive individual sessions including massage and tarot readings, which will be scheduled over the duration of the Desert Soulscape. The afternoon concludes with a powerful group channelling session followed by a guided nature drive, cheetah experience and sundowner.

    Day 3 – Integration & Stillness

The final day in the Kalahari begins in quiet reflection with a group meditation, followed by a guided Bushman walk. During the walk, you'll explore their traditional practices, including tracking, hunting techniques, and the use of indigenous plants for medicinal purposes. The experience usually lasts about 1 to 2 hours.

Individual sessions continue once back at the lodge, and the day closes with an afternoon yoga practice to integrate the energy of the retreat so far. After dinner, sink into the stillness of the desert night with a stargazing session under some of the clearest skies in the world.

    Accommodation: Bagatelle Farmhouse

  • Ancient and otherworldly, the Namib is the world’s oldest desert — a place of shifting sands, sculpted dunes, and surreal beauty. Here, silence stretches for miles, and the landscape feels both raw and sacred. It’s a space for awe, reflection, and a deep sense of presence.

From the red sands of the Kalahari to the open, dreamlike stillness of Sossusvlei, the journey continues. At Namib Outpost Lodge, the landscape opens wide - silent dunes, soft wind, and raw space that invites deeper integration. These days are slower, quieter, and more spacious, allowing your nervous system to fully settle and your heart to soften.

    Day 4 – Transition & Expansion

We greet the day with one final morning yoga practice in the Kalahari before heading west to the Namib Desert. This is a half day’s journey that offers contrasting scenery of Namibia’s two iconic deserts. Upon arrival at Namib Outpost Lodge, we’ll gather again in the afternoon for a gentle group channelling session to ground and realign after travel.

    Day 5 – Flow & Desert Stillness

We begin the day with a nature drive into the iconic landscapes of Sossusvlei - think towering red dunes, ancient camelthorn trees, and glowing desert light. The afternoon invites deeper personal work through tarot and massage sessions, all within the peaceful comfort of the lodge.

    Day 6 – Integration & Embodiment

Our final full day in the desert is one of deep nourishment. Private sessions continue through the morning, followed by a closing yoga and meditation circle to honour everything received. Horse-riding or guided nature drive is available in the afternoon for those drawn to explore the landscapes.

This phase of the retreat offers a slower rhythm, mirroring the vast, timeless energy of the Namib. Here, you are invited to exhale even more deeply, to listen inward, and to integrate all that is shifting. Whether you spend your afternoons watching oryx cross the horizon or resting in stillness, this is a space to simply be.

    Accommodation: Namib Outpost

  • Today we head to the peaceful sanctuary of Habitas, a soulful lodge nestled within a private wildlife reserve. After the vastness of the desert, this setting offers a grounded, earthy landing - a place to reconnect with the body, gather the threads of your journey, and prepare for return.

In the late afternoon, we’ll come together one final time for a closing session - a heartfelt fusion of yoga and channelling designed to honour your personal journey, anchor the insights received, and offer gentle support as you transition home.

    Accommodation: Our Habitas

  • Today marks the end of this retreat. You can either join the lodge for an optional nature drive in search of wildlife or relax before your transfer to the airport.

  • Dates: Immediately following the retreat
    Location: Etosha National Park

For those wishing to extend their journey, we offer an optional 3-day safari to the legendary Etosha National Park - one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations.

This experience is a celebration of contrast and wonder: after the stillness of the desert, step into the rhythm of life on the move. Etosha’s vast salt pans, and open savannahs are home to elephants, lions, giraffes, rhinos, and countless plains game, with waterholes that attract extraordinary wildlife sightings.

Each day includes guided game drives, comfortable lodge stays near the park, and plenty of time to soak in nature’s raw spectacle. Whether it’s the hush of elephants at a waterhole, the sudden grace of a leopard in the grass, or the wide-open sky above you, Etosha invites you to connect with nature in its most vivid, untamed form.

  • Channelling is the practice of tuning into a higher consciousness — whether that’s beings or entities — to receive insight, clarity, and guidance.

On our retreats, Robyn channels Unna Kasunja, a collective of 12 benevolent beings from the 7th dimension — a compassionate, otherworldly presence who offers loving insight, clarity, and healing guidance. Sessions often bring deep resonance, helping you access your own intuition, release old patterns, and connect with something greater.

Channelling is not about predicting the future—it's about remembering what you already know deep within.

  • Yoga with Marcel

Marcel’s yoga sessions invite you into deep presence. Each class is a gentle unfolding—anchored in breath, grounded in nature. Practising in the stillness of the desert, her yoga becomes a moving meditation. These sessions offer space to come home to your body, soften the nervous system, and reawaken a quiet inner strength. Marcel blends restorative, yin-inspired flows with intuitive movement, always guided by the energy of the moment.

Channelling & Tort Reading with Robyn

Robyn holds a deeply intuitive space through group channelling and guided meditation. Her sessions open a doorway to inner clarity, subtle awareness, and spiritual alignment. With loving presence, she helps you tune into your higher self and the energies around you. Through Robyn’s work, guests often gain insights, release emotional weight, and reconnect to something greater than themselves. Her sessions are gentle yet powerful, offering a sense of connection that lingers long after the retreat.

    Massage & Bodywork with Ray

Ray brings an extraordinary depth to her massage sessions, combining Thai massage, intuitive touch, and breath-led movement. Her work is slow, steady, and deeply grounding - allowing the body to release tension layer by layer. Ray also assists during yoga sessions, supporting guests in relaxing more fully into postures with mindful adjustments and somatic techniques. Her touch reminds the body how to rest and realign. These sessions are not just massages - they’re healing journeys.
